With Pacific Standard Time, a massive initiative involving museums and galleries, the Getty draws attention to Southern California's pivotal place in postwar art.
This fall over 40 PST shows open in rapid succession, with the remainder opening in the winter. Catalogues accompany these shows, and history is literally being written.
